Inspiration -you’re only as young as you move!

You're never too young to start yoga, exercise and move your body daily.

We celebrated the 90th birthday of our lovely Yogi; Lilian.

HAPPY 90TH BIRTHDAY LILIAN!

Last Tuesday, at Gladstone’s Library, Hawarden, our lovely Tuesday Morning Yoga group celebrated our superstar, regular; Lilian’s 90th birthday.

At what age can you start yoga?

Lilian is 90 years young! She's an absolute star and has been joining our yoga classes regularly for over 5 years. If you've ever met her, you'll know she's truly young at heart and a true trooper!

Lilian also does a lot of walking whether round her hometown, Hawarden village or you'll spot her walking through Chester city centre and around Grosvenor Park. She clocks up the miles to keep moving daily and she eats a well balanced diet; with her porridge and blueberries first thing.

Lilian started joining yoga classes at age 84. She joins in with all of the standing and balancing postures; she practices getting up and down to the ground which is really important to maintain, as we age. She also, repeatedly, does a very strong, seated arm-lift; lifting her hips off the ground and holding for a few seconds at a time. Lilian; you’re an inspiration to us all and we’re looking forward to celebrating your 100th birthday and seeing what you can do then! You’ll still show us all up!

Our lovely, mixed ability community joins every Tuesday morning at Gladstone’s Library, Hawarden at 9:30am for a gentle but strength-building yoga class. We stretch, we breathe and we take some time to relax too. The class is an hour long and is £10/class or you can purchase a 10 class pass for £80.
