Inspiration And The Beauty Of Yoga

Was great to see so many of you in last Tuesday's class after the New Year. Hopefully you found it gently eased you back into the swing of things. We'll be taking it steady again at tomorrow evening's class too with lots of nice stretches for the whole body.

And for those who didn't make it down, we hope to see you soon. It's a drop-in class for a reason because we're human and some days we just don't feel 100% so don't feel guilty if you miss a class. But saying that if you're only feeling 80%, a good yoga class, or any workout for that matter, can improve how you feel and help you get a good night's sleep.

The beauty of yoga

Yoga is not about competition or how flexible you are. It's about spending time on yourself, which we are so often too busy to do in this day and age. Spend as little as an hour tuning into your body and working as much as you feel you can that day and you're still feel the benefits. That's the beauty of yoga.

Yoga inspiration

Yoga has so many benefits for your body and mind. It's is a great way to keep fit, sleep better, strengthen your muscles, improve your posture, help your internal organs, develop your balance, relax and most importantly feel good, inside and out.

This video was probably what inspired me to do more yoga and take more time to practice and learn more about it.

It's such an incredible video and really shows what the body is capable of, if you put your mind to it and put in the hours. I know yoga isn't all about flexibility and competition but this lady has obviously benefited from practising yoga everyday. She probably feels pretty good after doing that routine every morning and she sure looks good too!

For the real piece de resistance, check out the posture at 2.34. It's insane!!
